Common Abbreviations

b.f.= board foot

c.= circa, approximately

f.o. = finished opening

Storage

All material was removed by hand, with care, and immediately surface cleaned for hardware. Wood has been stored indoors, primarily on stickers.

The Selection Process

The beauty in reclaimed material is often found in its surface variation. This is a result of different degrees of oxidization and weathering within a particular lot of material. Wear patterns and nail marks further distress the material in random patterns. Such variation makes it difficult to accurately represent a particular set of material with a few small samples or photographs, and should be taken into account when evaluating material that is represented in photographs.

We have found the most effective means of matching a client to material is for the client to provide us with sample photographs, accompanied with ideal dimensions, of the desired product. Such photographs could be of actual material or pictures found in a magazine.

Upon receiving photographs we can, in turn, send sample photographs of our stock back to you.

We can send you physical samples. We will charge $50 per package plus freight. These fees will be subtracted from your first order.

Lead Paint

Lead paint was used up to the 1960’s, and may be present in painted stock.
